We at Novatore (Novatore SIA) are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to the information and data collected by Novatore as a controller, including the information collected on our websites (Novatore.eu). Our registration number: 43603090374.

This Privacy Notice describes how we collect, receive, use, store, share, transfer, and process your personal information (Personal Information). It also describes your choices regarding the use and your rights of access and correction of your Personal Information.

 

1. What information we collect about you

 

Our use of the subscription service

We use the Fienta subscription service to collect information (name, surname, LinkedIn profile name, email, phone number) when people subscribe to our services and newsletters. Information that we collect and manage using the service of the website for our marketing is processed based on your consent and belongs to us and is used, disclosed, and protected according to this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect from our partners

From time to time, we may receive Personal Information about you from third-party sources including partners with which we offer co-branded services or engage in joint marketing activities, and sources such as social media websites. We collect such information (name, surname, LinkedIn profile name, email, phone number) based on our legitimate interest. 

Photography and digital media 

Novatore may record and/or photograph events for live streaming online or repurposing in digital e.g., on our websites, social media, and YouTube channel, or in paper format. We collect such information based on our legitimate interests.

Billing information

We process users' billing data when you pay for the tickets to attend our events. This information is necessary to enter into the contract with us. 

 

2. How we use the information we collect

 

Compliance with our privacy policy

We use the information we collect only in compliance with this Privacy Policy. 

We never sell Personal Information

We will never sell your Personal Information to any third party.

Use of Personal Information

In addition to the uses identified elsewhere in this Privacy Policy, we may use your Personal Information to:

  • improve your browsing experience by personalising our websites and improving the service;

  • send Novatore content or other information that we think may be of interest to you by post, email, or other means and send you marketing communications relating to our business;

  • promote the use of our services to you and share promotional and information content with you in accordance with your communication preferences;

  • provide other companies with statistical information about our users – but this information will not be used to identify any individual user and will only be shared on an aggregate and de-identified basis;

  • contact you about billing, account management, and other administrative matters;

  • send information to you regarding changes to our Customer Terms of Service, Privacy Policy (including the Cookie Policy), or other legal agreements;

  • investigate and help prevent security issues and abuse; and

  • meet legal requirements.

We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, we do not transfer your Personal Information to a third party.

Customer Testimonials and Comments

We post customer testimonials and comments on our websites, which may contain Personal Information. We obtain each customer’s consent via email before posting the customer’s name and testimonial.

Security of your Personal Information

We use various security technologies and procedures to help protect your Personal Information from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. We secure the Personal Information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. All Personal Information is protected using appropriate physical, technical, and organisational measures. The legal basis for this type of processing is our legitimate interest.

Photography and digital media 

Video records and photographs taken at the events can be used for live streaming online or repurposing in digital media e.g. on our websites, social media, and YouTube channel, or in paper format. This Personal Information will be processed for the purpose of promoting services, events, and resources. Novatore maintains copyright and any other intellectual property in photographs taken and/or digitised recordings belonging to Novatore.

External websites

Our Websites provide links to other websites of third parties and partners. We do not control and are not responsible for, the content or practices of these other websites. Our provision of such links does not constitute our endorsement of these other websites, their content, their owners, or their practices. This Privacy Policy does not apply to these other websites, which are subject to any privacy and other policies they may have.

Retention of Personal Information

Personal Information is stored until the specified purpose of processing is achieved.  Once the purpose is achieved, we will either delete or anonymise your information or, if this is not possible, then we will securely store your information and isolate it from any further use until deletion is possible.

Your Personal Information is not transferred to countries beyond the European Economic Area.

If you have elected to receive marketing communications from us, we retain information about your marketing preferences for a reasonable period of time from the date you last expressed interest in our content, products, or services, such as when you last opened an email from us. We retain information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.

3. How we share information we collect

 

Novatore partners

In addition, we may share data with trusted partners to contact you based on your request to receive such communications, help us perform statistical analysis, or provide customer support. Such third parties are prohibited from using your Personal Information except for these purposes, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

We partner with trusted third parties to provide you with content that we think may be relevant to you. When you engage with these co-marketing partners, we will tell you whom we are sharing data with, and provide a link to the partner’s privacy policy so you can learn more about how to opt out of the partner’s communications. These partners are required to adhere to our privacy and data protection policies. 

Corporate events

If we (or our assets) are acquired by another company, whether by merger, acquisition, bankruptcy or otherwise, that company would receive all information gathered by Novatore on its websites. In this event, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our websites, of any change in ownership, uses of your Personal Information, and choices you may have regarding your Personal Information.

Compelled disclosure

We reserve the right to use or disclose your Personal Information if required by law or if we reasonably believe that use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with a law, court order, or legal process.

 

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Novatore and our partners use cookies or similar technologies (such as web beacons and JavaScript) to analyse trends, administer the websites, track users’ movements around the websites, and gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. 5.  Your rights

 

Right to access Personal Information

You can ask us to do the following:

  • confirm whether we are processing your Personal Information;

  • provide you with a copy of this data; provide you with other information about your Personal Information, such as what data we hold, what we use it for, whom we disclose it to, whether we transfer it abroad and how we protect it, how long we store it, what are your rights, how you can file a complaint, where we obtained your Personal Information, to the extent that such information is not already provided to you in this Privacy Policy.

Right to have Personal Information rectified 

You can ask us to correct inaccurate Personal Information.

Right to have Personal Information erased

You can ask us to delete your Personal Information, but only if:

  • the Personal Information is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was received or processed; or

  • you have withdrawn your consent (if data processing was based on consent); or

  • the Personal Information has been unlawfully processed; or

  • to comply with a legal obligation applicable to us.

We do not have to comply with your request to delete your Personal Information if the processing of your Personal Information is necessary to:

  • fulfil a legal obligation;

  • bring, exercise or defend legal claims.

Right to restrict processing 

You can ask us to restrict (retain but not use) your Personal Information, but only if:

  • their accuracy is contested to allow us to verify the accuracy of the Personal Information; or

  • the processing is illegal, but you do not want to erase Personal Information; or

  • Personal Information are no longer needed for the purpose for which they were collected, but you still need them to bring, fulfil or defend legal claims; or

  • you have exercised your right to object and the determination of the primary grounds for data processing is ongoing.

We may continue to use your Personal Information following a restriction request if:

  • we have your consent; or

  • to bring, fulfil or defend legal claims; or

  • to protect the rights of other natural or legal persons.

Right to data portability 

You can ask us to provide your Personal Information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or ask us to “transfer” it directly to another data controller of your choice, but only if: 

  • processing is based on your consent or the fulfilment of a contract concluded with you; and

  • processing is carried out by automated means.

The right to portability includes only the data you provide.

Right to object processing

You can object to the processing of your Personal Information based on “legitimate interests” if you believe that your fundamental rights and freedoms are more important than our legitimate interests. 

When you have objected, we have the opportunity to demonstrate that we have significant legitimate interests that override your rights and freedoms.

Exercising your rights is free of charge. However, if your request for access to information is unreasonable or excessive, we have the right to charge a reasonable amount according to the circumstances, based on administrative expenses. We will inform you of any costs before fulfilling your request. 

Novatore reserves the right to ask you to prove your identity if you submit a request to exercise any of the rights described here.

Providing an answer

You have the right to submit a request to us about your Personal Information. We will reply within one month of receiving it. However, if the requests are particularly complicated or if you have submitted several requests, this period may be extended to three months. We will inform you if it takes more than one month for a response.

The right to address the supervisory authority
